Workshop description
This workshop focuses on the dancer's interaction with the floor, emphasizing the use of breathing, speed, and energy release to efficiently connect the body's center with its joints. The attention is on understanding the skeletal structure for improved physical awareness and alertness, and the class involves both solo and partnered movements that explore fundamental physics principles. Key to the workshop is the practice of spiraling movements, which are essential in transitioning between standing and floor-bound states. This approach, known as the 'flying low' technique, enhances the dancer's spatial awareness and physical engagement with the environment, fostering a dynamic interplay between the body and its surroundings.
