Workshop Description
This dynamic partnering workshop emphasizes athletic activities and intensive training, focusing on exercises that connect joint mobility and muscle mass to enhance the body’s explosive power and physical readiness. Participants will gain awareness of their movement in various spaces—vertically, on the ground, and in pairs—exploring the interplay between physicality, sensitivity, and body listening.
The session begins with a warm-up featuring functional exercises and choreographic floorwork sequences to integrate deep muscle use with joint mobility, facilitating interaction with the floor. The aim is to prepare the body for the choreographic challenges ahead.
Participants will engage in both individual dynamic activities and partner work, emphasizing light yet tangible contact. The partnership exercises revolve around continuous manipulation and weight exchange, exploring the fluid and substantial movement of two bodies through balanced use of the floor, verticality, pushes, and levers.
