Workshop Description

The Flow Acrobatics workshop focuses on body awareness and coordination through playful integration of new movement patterns inspired by capoeira and contemporary dance. It begins with a warm-up influenced by martial arts and yoga to prepare body and mind, incorporating challenging postures and circular motions for enhanced awareness, particularly in wrists and legs. The workshop progresses to explore spine mechanics through movement patterns involving balance, stability, falls, rolls, flips, and relaxed flow, gradually increasing in complexity and incorporating acrobatic sequences. The main part features high-energy movements drawn from various disciplines like Capoeira, Judo, Release Technique, and Breakdance, with an emphasis on improvisation to explore these movements from different perspectives.
